Homework

First grade requires 20 minutes of homework, four evenings a week. The daily completion of homework assignments will help form a responsible, disciplined, and conscientious student along with keep you informed of current lessons. The time spent on homework may vary depending on your child and the particular subject area. Homework assignments for each week will be sent home. If homework is not completed on time, the student will complete it during recess/free time and not participate in recess/free time that day until the Homework is completed. If word folders or Take Home Tuesday folders are not returned on the designated day, the student will sit out 5 minutes of recess/free time.
