On a recent April afternoon, the fourth-graders of Trafford Elementary School were bused a short distance from their school to the Trafford Borough offices. Students were permitted to explore the various public works vehicles, meet with borough employees, and learn about jobs in the bustling community.
Trafford’s Fire Chief Brian Lindbloom spoke to the students about fire safety, and Officer Jonathan Kitterman gave them a look inside the jail cell in the borough building and answered questions about his job.
The students enjoyed a tour of the Trafford Borough Council Chambers with Mayor John Daykon and learned about the responsibilities of local government officials.
