Students at Trafford Elementary participated in a hands-on activity during a recent K-2 STEAM Club led by Miss Auel. Using water, salt, and flour, they created homemade playdough as part of an exploration of basic STEAM concepts.
The activity encouraged students to experiment with different ingredient ratios and observe the effects, such as how varying amounts of salt or water influenced the texture. Some students noticed that increasing the salt content made the playdough less sticky. At the conclusion of the session, students used their playdough to create various shapes and designs.
