Students at Trafford Elementary School donated 990 boxes of candy during a ‘Random Act of Kindness’ project coordinated by library aide, Mrs. Jenny Winter. The candy was donated to Beverly’s PGH, and will be used in birthday treat bags for disadvantaged children.
“The kids love bringing candy in to help other kids,” commented Winter. The classes that brought in the most candy received an ice cream party, and grades 3rd through 5th were rewarded with an afternoon movie for their generous donations.
