Penn-Trafford’s elementary and middle school musicians took part in two recent choir festivals.
The WCMEA County Chorus, featuring students from across Westmoreland County, was hosted by music teachers Renee Rumbaugh and Taylor Powell at Trafford Middle School. Penn-Trafford elementary students who participated in this event were Natalie Good, Tucker Hatam, Sofia Martinelli, Ella Nedev, Aubrey Nelson, Londyn Radabaugh, Tallon Spears, Evelyn Terpstra, Hope Tullis, Elizabeth Urso, and River Young.
The PMEA “Sing Fest” was hosted by Yough Intermediate School. It brought together over 100 students from districts around western Pennsylvania. Penn-Trafford students who participated in this event were Emily Ambrose, Charlee Bussard, Hannah Cass, Delaney Flebotte, Caleb Fox, Molly Kessler, Ellie Panuccio, Gabriella Rivera, Lydia Truschel, and Scarlett Zemba.
“Being in a choir festival provides a wonderful enrichment opportunity for students who love to sing and work hard on more difficult music”, commented music teacher Mrs. Frescura. “They also get a chance to meet other students from around the area who enjoy singing just like them!”
