Students in Mrs. Witek’s second-grade classroom at Trafford Elementary School spent a mid-October day exploring apples through various discovery centers. They learned about the life cycle of an apple from seed to fruit, made construction paper caramel apples, made predictions doing experiments such as an apple volcano, and used all 5 senses to describe three different kinds of apples.
It was a day filled with creativity, teamwork, and fun - and the class looks forward to future discovery centers with Mrs. Witek.
