Ms. Erica Mull, a Student Learning Assistant, was able to expose her second-graders at Trafford Elementary School to electrical circuits in a project funded by DonorsChoose (a crowdfunding platform for teachers).
Mull received grant funds to purchase a "Squishy Circuits" kit, which uses conductive and insulating play dough to teach the basics of electrical circuits. “The circuits will allow the students to gain crucial problem-solving skills and learn basic engineering concepts, which further promote creativity and independent thinking,” said Mull.
